The personal stories of objects

3 storytellers are invited to bring an object that has an extraordinary personal story attached to it.
The selected participants hail from a broad spectrum of professional disciplines, and their chosen objects represent equally diverse fields of interest.

The objects selected for Show and Tell will be revealed on the night as the stories commence.

On the Bill:

Lesley Messer is the digital entertainment editor for ABC News, where she manages the network’s online celebrity and entertainment content. Prior to that, she spent nearly seven years at People magazine, where she wrote feature stories and breaking news for the magazine and website. Over her tenure, she interviewed the likes of Tina Fey, Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Simpson and more. A native of Cincinnati, Lesley is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. She lives in Brooklyn.

Tommy Zurhellen is Director of the Creative Writing program at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He received his MFA in Fiction Writing from the University of Alabama. He is the author of two novels, Nazareth, North Dakota and Apostle Islands, as well as a variety of short stories, essays and poems. He is also co-host of the popular weekly podcast Fiction School.

Zach Lynd is a restaurateur, known for both creating and consulting on unique hospitality projects around the world. Whether he translates his art into a one room hotel or a beachfront food truck,  he creates interesting concepts that are truly boutique, and engage you with a surprise and delight.
He has a masters in branding from the School of Visual Arts where he co-authored a book and mentored under famed designer Matteo Bologna, most known for his iconic work with the legendary Keith McNally. Zach’s work has been seen in Vogue, GQ, Cosmo, Elle, Wall St. Journal, Hamptons Magazine, Zagat, Jetsetter, Urban Daddy and much more.
