Often celebrated as the month of fashion, February in New York City becomes a hive of lucrative parties, designer goodies and celebrity sightings. It can all be a little overwhelming. But while everyone seems to have their eyes on the runway, it’s a good opportunity to shift focus and see what else is going on. Here’s everything happening in NYC… besides NYFW.
You don’t need to jet off to NOLA to become part of the Mardi Gras legacy. New York’s very own Fat Tuesday is celebrated on February 13 with jazz-funk performances, Big Easy Cajun eat-outs, and a troves of parties and events.

Catwalks aren’t your thing? For some puppy love, we’re heading to The Westminster Kennel Club for their annual dog show. The dogs take to the runway on Monday 12 February.

Kendall Jenner may have just been named the world’s highest paid model, but our favorite family of Ks is over in the fermented aisle. With kombucha, kraut and kimchi, the Fermentation Festival fizzes over to Brooklyn on February 24. It’s the perfect excuse to cross the East River and explore New York’s most populous borough.
