The Armory Show

The Armory Show is New York’s foremost annual art fair. Head here to view (or purchase) an impressive collection of 20th and 21st century artworks by the likes of André Kertész and Iván Navarro. Held on Piers 92 & 92, the fair features works from prominent international galleries, innovative artist commissions and dynamic public programs.

Whitney Biennial

This year marks the first time the prestigious Whitney Biennial is taking place at the museum’s new Meatpacking District location. One of the most significant art shows in the world, the Biennial presents what’s new in contemporary American art. Among the key themes of this year’s Biennial is the “formation of the self and the individual’s place in a turbulent society.”  The 2017 exhibition showcases the work of sixty-three artists across varying mediums, including sculpture, video and photography.

Marilyn Minter: Pretty/ Dirty

American artist Marilyn Minter’s Pretty/ Dirty exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum explores the complex emotions surrounding the feminine body, the commercialization of sex and the concept of beauty in America. The retrospective includes photography, sensual paintings, and videography that spans three decades from 1969 through the 1990s.

Pretty/Dirty runs through April 2.

Affordable Art Fair

Affordable Art Fair is back for its 23rd edition in New York, showing a diverse group of 70 galleries with works from emerging and established artists. Expect  paintings, original prints, photographs and sculptures, all for sale at prices ranging from $10 to $80.
