Lily’s at Roger Smith Hotel

The Roger Smith Hotel and HEAL are pleased to present How to Draw a Lion – an exhibition of children’s art from Kenya. How to Draw a Lion was founded by New York-based artist John Platt to bring hope and raise funds for at-risk children in East Africa. In the summer of 2017 the program held classes at the Rapha Community Center in Nyahururu Kenya. The community center is the main project of HEAL – Raising our world, which has built a children’s home and secondary school that provides vital services for children in this rural area. Founded by American Jennifer Musick Wright in 2007, HEAL currently cares for 45 children at Rapha, and educates 80 in the secondary school. All proceeds from this show will  go to support these talented young artists. John Platt Website | HEAL
